Shoulder pain may relate to the rotator cuff, frozen shoulder, arthritis, the acromioclavicular joint or other causes. Similar symptoms can require different treatment, so assessment comes before a procedure or exercise programme.
We review movement, strength, symptom behaviour and the effect on sleep and function. The plan may include advice, progressive rehabilitation and—when appropriate—discussion of imaging, injection or specialist referral.
